LED Televisions

LED Televisions uses an group of light-emitting diodes as pixels to display an image. The image produced is bright and generally vibrant. LED displays are also used in shop signs and decorative lighting equipment.

LED-Pros

LED panels are very bright and are generally much brighter than LCD, plasma and CRT screens. This allows for televisions to be used when in brighter, exposed rooms. They also have deep blacks (but mostly not as black as some plasma televisions). Each sub-pixel is illuminated individually allowing for a more precise and accurate picture. LED televisions have a relatively low power consumption so doesn’t require as much electricity to power the screen. LED screens are also lighter than LCD and plasma televisions.

LED-Cons

As of 2015, LED televisions are more expensive than LCD televisions.
